'D-War', the latest reptilian monster movie has grossed $20.3 million in South Korea in its first five days, according to distributor Showbox.

Playing on 689 screens, the $75 million dollar budgeted creature-feature about a giant snake destroying Los Angeles, has set off a 'culture' war in South Korea, with fans waging an Internet battle against film critics that hate the film.

Freestyle Releasing will release the film domestic, Sept. 14, under the title "Dragon Wars."
