With filming scheduled to start this June in Berlin, the upcoming "Speed Racer" film is from executive producer Grant Hill, producers Joel Silver, Susan Downey, Andy Wachowski, Larry Wachowski and David Seltzer.Directors are Andy and Larry Wachowski.
Screenplay is by John Lau, Patrick Read Johnson, Andy and Larry Wachowski.
Based on the classic 1960's series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida, the film will follow the adventures of race car driver 'Speed' in his quest for glory in the gadget-laden vehicle 'Mach 5'.
The movie will also feature other characters from the show, including Speed's family and his mysterious archrival 'Racer X'.
