"Incredible Hulk" Shooting in Toronto

Marvel and Universal Studios will film "The Incredible Hulk" in Toronto this summer.

The film, a stand-alone sequel to the first film directed by Ang Lee, will create 400 jobs in the city, according to Toronto Mayor David Miller.

As Sneak Peek previously reported February 15, both Toronto and Vancouver were being scouted as possible shooting locations.

Marvel, the Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Film and Television Office of the City of Toronto confirmed the shoot Feb 26.

"This timely decision reinforces Toronto's status as the national center of excellence and will serve as a strong kick-off to our 2007 production year," said Mayor David Miller.

"This is a testimonial to the world-class locations, crews and production facilities that Toronto and Ontario have to offer," added OMDC acting CEO Kristine Murphy.

"The Incredible Hulk" will be directed by Louis "Transporter" Leterrier, produced by Avi Arad, Kevin Feige and Gale Anne Hurd.

Actor Adrien Brody has been rumoured to be in the running to play the role of gamma-radiated scientist 'Banner' aka 'Hulk', in a Marvel Comics storyline pitting ol' greenskin against 'The Abomination'.
